THE PLAN

We measure and create CAD floor plans for home owners, home buyers and sellers, property management companies, flooring retailers, designers, insurance companies, real estate agencies: virtually anyone in the need of a floor plan for the purposes of replacing flooring or just to have a floor plan with measurements! Your floor plan will show the layout, seam placement, and materials needed for basically any flooring project. We service the Inland Empire and Orange County, Los Angeles County at California. as well as parts of Utah, USA.

At THE PLAN we will come out to your property and measure utilizing the latest laser measuring technology. Then, usually within 48 to 72 hours, provide you with a scale floor plan of the property in the form of a CAD (Computer Aided Drawing), a blueprint quality drawing along with a checklist of material quantities needed to complete your project. In the case of carpeting or sheet vinyl the drawing will show direction the material is to be laid and seam locations. As long as the material list and diagram is followed by the installer, and important information was provided to us such as pattern match of certain materials, you will not be short! The diagram will clearly show any leftover materials, which is unavoidable in some cases depending on the layout and materials used.

It doesn’t matter if you are a home owner or have several properties in which you are responsible for, purchasing flooring can be a long and time consuming process. You may call 5 different flooring companies and each company will have to come out to your home to measure. Then they might get 5 different amounts of material needed to cover the same area! Some of them may be running the carpet in a different direction or have different seam locations. Some of them may add as much as 10% to 15% to be on the safe side, or for other less scrupulous reasons. One may be short because of a simple math error, and you won’t find this out until the day of installation! Not to mention the inconvenience of having to meet with 5 different strangers and the time it takes in order to do this. One guy took 15 minutes and another guy took 2 hours… which one do you trust for accuracy and honesty? I know I don’t want all these strangers in my home nor do I have the time for it!

At THE PLAN there will only be one technician that comes to your home. He will use a laser measuring device rather than struggle with a tape measure, therefore be out of your hair fairly quickly. He will not be there to sell you anything or try to upgrade you in any way. We are an unbiased third party and have no financial interest in how much material is needed to do the job correctly. We may ask you which is more important to you, seam location or economy. Often the best seam location is the most economical way as well; sometimes it can add as much as 10% to 20%, leaving you with a bunch of leftover material. Either way, you should only have to deal with one person to go over these details with. Then you can take your floor plan and list of materials needed and go shopping with the knowledge that everyone you deal with at this point is quoting you on the same amount of materials!
